"Medium- to full-bodied and warm gold in color, displays great depth of taste, sweet golden syrup and honey, followed by spices and orange peel. A smooth, sweet and easy-drinking Highland whisky famous for its honeyed notes. Distilled in copper pots, handmade by the same family for over a century, then aged to perfection. Enjoy neat or on the rocks" Tasting Notes Double Gold Medal, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021
Rich, perfumed aroma, rounded and full with heather, honey, notes of sweet pineapple, butter toffee, toast, cereal and vanilla. Great depth, sweet golden syrup and honey followed by spices and orange peel. Glorious, the perfume characteristics become more spicy, with a zesty hint of orange peel in a decidedly dry finish.
I pick up baked yellow fruits (banana, pear, quince) and round, lightly toasted scents of malt in the aroma. Palate entry offers clean, crisp tastes of dry breakfast cereal and lightly toasted barley malt; by midpalate, the dry to off-dry flavor profile includes oak-induced vanilla, light toffee, and nougat. Ends on a woody note.
Earthy nose, driven by autumn leaves and toasted grains . In the mouth it is light with red apple and stone fruit notes, spicy and warm mid-palate. The finish is long and leaves a pleasant pear bitters sensation.
